Paddle handles the payment, issues your invoice, and is responsible for collecting any applicable sales tax or VAT.
1. The product
The Japan Checklist — Tokyo is a digital publication: a PDF of 64 pages, delivered by download. It is not a physical book, not a subscription, and not a service. There is no account to create and nothing to install.
2. Price and payment
The price is shown on the product page in US dollars and is a one-time payment. Depending on where you are, tax may be added at checkout; the total you will pay is shown before you confirm the order.
3. Delivery
Delivery is immediate. As soon as your payment is accepted you are taken to a page with the download link on it, and the file is yours to keep: there is no account, no login and nothing to install. Download it there and then rather than leaving it in a browser tab. If you close the page before downloading, or you lose the file later, write to us from the address you used at checkout and we will send it to you directly.
4. Licence and permitted use
When you buy the guide you may read it, print it for your own use, and keep copies on your own devices. You may not resell it, republish it, upload it to a public or shared location, or distribute it to people who have not bought it. The content is protected by copyright.
5. What the guide is, and is not
The guide describes how transport, payment and reservation systems in and around Tokyo operate, based on information published by the organisations responsible for them. Each claim is accompanied by the organisation that publishes it and the date on which we read their page.
These are operating rules and they change. We cannot guarantee that a rule described in the guide is still in force on the day you travel, and the guide itself says so and tells you which items to confirm at source before flying. The guide is information, not advice, and it does not replace the official page of any operator or authority.
We are independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to any railway company, airport, government body or other organisation named in the guide.
6. Liability
We take care to source everything in the guide, and we correct errors when they are pointed out to us. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from decisions you make on your trip. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud.
7. Refunds
Our refund policy is set out on a separate page and forms part of these terms.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your purchase is the one published on the day you bought.
9. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of Spain, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have in the country where you live. For anything at all, write to info@japanchecklist.com.
